Tomijo White Brown
Tomijo White Brown was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 17, 1924, the oldest daughter of H.S. White and Faye Ware White. They moved to Cookeville, Tennessee where she attended elementary and high school and graduated from Tennessee Polytechnic Institute, where she majored in Business and Economics. There she met and married T. Pierce Brown, to which union was born two sons, Frank and Hilary. She completed her requirements at TPI for a permanent teacher's certificate, and taught in elementary schools in Florida for two years, and did substitute teaching in Tullahoma, Tennessee and in various other places where T. Pierce preached.
As a hobby she does painting and water colors. She painted the scene behind the baptistry at the Sycamore Church in Cookeville, where T. Pierce now serves as an elder.
She regularly teaches a Ladies' Bible Class and has written articles for several gospel publications.
