The word "manna" means, "What is it?" The answer could well be that
it is whatever one needs of forgiveness, grace, mercy and strength every
morning to make one whole again and sufficient for the day.
It is no less than divine plan that His mercies are new every morning because
that's when we need them. The Israelites picked up manna every morning
to sustain their physical bodies until they reached the Promised Land.
In like manner, we need to pick up spiritual manna to sustain us on our
way to the city not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Too many missed mornings make for starved, ailing pilgrims on the way.
