Then he attended the University of Manitoba for two years to receive a diploma in agriculture. Since that time, he has taken Bible courses at Western Christian College and several business oriented courses (accounting, bookkeeping, administration, time management, income tax, and financial counselling.)

On July 3, 1971, Dennis married Karen Anne Wieb. They have two children: Winona Mae (July 5, 1972) and Paul Ross (December 7, 1974).

Dennis's work experience includes: supervisor for Orr Hall at Western Christian College and farming with a near-by farmer (1972-73); herdsman at Lacombe Research Station at Lacombe, Alberta (1973-76); owner-operator of Quiebe Janitorial Service, Weyburn, which included one year (1976-77) maintenance at the college (1976-79); dorm director at Western Christian College (1977-79); pasture rider for PFRA at Saskatoon (1979); ranch hand at Mount Sentinel Ranch at Nanton, Alberta (1980); tax preparer for H & R Block and Lawrick Accounting at Weyburn (1981-82); bookkeeper and accountant-office manager (September 1986-July 1988) at Western Christian College (1982-88).

After leaving Western, Dennis and his family moved to Salmon Arm, B.C. He is resident care taker at Arsenault's Farm, where he trains Arabian horses and raises Rocky Mountain horses. He also owns and operates Rejoice Resources, a bookkeeping and financial counselling business. In addition, he is an accountant's assistant during the income tax season at the Bueckert, Cooper & Co. Accounting firm.

Dennis served as a deacon in Weyburn in the evangelism and care groups for church family growth. At Salmon Arm he is responsible for finances, doing financial counselling with a biblical base with the church family and community. Also at Salmon Arm, Dennis is actively involved in the worship services of the congregation with preaching, scripture reading, song leading, and Bible class teaching.

Dennis and Karen have been involved as a team couple for both Marriage Encounter and Engaged Encounter. They have served as officers on the Marriage Encounter executive.

Dennis's hobbies are horses and guitar playing.

While at Western Christian College, Dennis enjoyed the opportunity to grow personally. He also appreciated getting to know so many brethren in western Canada and parts of the United States. He found his time as a dorm director challenging and very rewarding in many ways.
